  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. No training wheels.

I checked it on other websites with more detailed description and it clearly did not indicate that there are training wheels but Sierra rep confirmed with me that there are. So I bought it as X-mas gift and the receiver had to go through the hassle of returning it bc of lack of training wheels. I emailed Sierra to save other buyers the trouble and rep replied saying that they'd update the info. Still haven't. I bought one for my son who doesn't need training wheels so that worked but less than a month of using it, the chain came off 5x. YouTube shows how to fix it but the screws are so tight that I can't unscrew them to fix. Nice, sturdy bike but very disappointed. Wonder if bc it's sold on a discount shopping site so these bikes are defective. I bought a very cheap brand from Walmart 4yrs ago and my son did not have a problem with it until he grew out of it.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. The best protection you can buy

This has become my go to helmet. I never did the helmet thing. After I started skating my husband asked me to start wearing a helmet so i bought this one for skating. Since then if i need a helmet this is the only one i will wear. When i want some extra protection in the snow or on my bike I wear it. I love the fact that it is slightly snug on my head. i do fasten the strap but sometimes i leave it a bit loose. It feels so much better than my husbands fancy bike helmet. I am not planning on testing its protective capabilities but am sure it would perform perfectly
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Not bad for 10 dollars

When i started biking again a few years ago as an adult i started wearing a helmet on just about every ride. When i met my now wife we both really enjoyed biking and began taking frequent rides together. I will never forget our first ride together. As we are loading the bike she sees my helmet and she said “ohhh i better grab mine I usually don’t wear one unless we are going into the city as anything on my head gives me a headache”. And she grabs a leather hairnet (we are in our 20’s) she follows with “i know it does not offer much protection but i dont get a headache”. And off we rode. On future ride I generally left my helmet at home since we rode slow and on quiet trails. After awhile my bike ended up at her house and we would go from there. One evening she asks if we want to ride into the city with her mom. I must have had a look because she asked what i was thinking about. I told her that i did not have my helmet. She told me i could wear a spare and i said okay (as i wondered what the spare would be). We get the bikes out and a bin of helmets there is her hairnet on top a vintage hardshell windjammer (look it up) and a few helmets that are not ancient but not new and a schwinn uxo. Her mom grabs one of the older helmets. She pulls out the windjammer and tells me to grab one and mentions “they all gave me headaches this one (gesturing to the windjammer) despite being a little heavy has no pressing points and floats on my head and actually offers some protection”. I of course grabbed the uxo. It was very comfortable actually nicer than my much more expensive helmet. The next few times we rode i wore the uxo and she wore the windjammer. I am so impressed with this helmet i may replace my expensive smith helmet with it.
