  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. This is VERY nice

This is VERY nice indeed and a steal at this price. It is a mildly coarse wool that I like. It is fully lined, sleeves and collar included, with cotton. If you think you might like it then I think you will certainly like it.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice thick & heavy wool sweater

    Delivery was ~5 bus. days.
It's a nice thick though heavy wool sweater. Outer shell is wool, while the inner lining of the body is a thin, lightweight fleece. The arms doesn't have a fleece lining but more of a nylon lining so shirt sleeves can slide through the arms without getting caught, much.
It's a dark natural which means a medium brown color overall with a matching striped pattern around the sweater and sleeves.
The side pockets don't have buttons or zippers but is fleece lined and roomy enough for fleece gloves. There is a small inner pocket on the inner left side liner.
Sizing is very confusing. Take the measurement given for the XL (Chest 24-25) and Double it! That means 48"-50". A size Lg (Chest 22½-23½) means 45"-47". I bought the XL for a more looser fit considering I was borderline 47"-48" and do wear a lightweight fleece sweater during winter over long sleeve shirts. The XL is a bit Oversized for me but it's better than being tight and Undersized. The length goes down past the waist to the upper thighs, like an oversized sweatshirt.
The sweater is heavy and warm enough to wear over a long sleeve shirt and under a down jacket/coat. Was walking outside at night when temp was ~21F and lower with wind chill and dropping. My upper body was relatively warm!
The large size may have fit better but, since it's wool, may may even be tight and may shrink once professionally washed, though I think washing in cold water with Woolite under the Gentle wash setting then hang drying would be sufficient.
Wished the color was more of a (brighter) natural color than the darker natural brown color but it still looks good.
The end of the sleeves leave a little bit of room for air to rush up the arm. The hood fits and has a thin, lightweight fleece liner underneath with wool cords to synch the hood closed. Have to take care of the wool cords so it doesn't break or stretch easily.
Unfortunately, there's no longer any information at Lost Horizon's website since the sweater is a close-out item. The price was relatively affordable and cost less than what Lost Horizon was selling its other sweaters at clearance prices.
