Beautiful boots. Size 39 fits size 8. Not this narrow as pictured. Beautiful leather.

Sizing: Runs Narrow. I'm really a 7, ordered the 38 knowing it'd be a little on the big side, it came with a 7.5 sticker. If there were a US 7 I doubt I could wear it. It's hard to get my foot in because it's narrow and stiff. Once it breaks in that should go easier. Tried on with athletic-thick socks, and boots are a little tight on the outside of the toe. Very tight at the top over bare leg, and I don't think I have thick ankles/calves.
Construction: Nice thick leather, sole appears stitched from the bottom, but the "stitches" at top are part of the mold for the sole. Sole is stiff, heel cup is stiff. Heels sound hollow and look molded to the sole, so not re-heelable but maybe the entire sole can be replaced. Zipper is OK, teeth finer than I like to see in shoes, it'll be the first thing to fail.
Wear: The sole is really stiff right out of the box. I only wore them for a few minutes indoors and they didn't have any glaring issues other than tight at the toe, but I'm used to breaking in boots. Not sure if the stiffness of the sole will break in or break down, I'm a little concerned it's the latter.
Overall: On sale they're an all right deal. I am hoping to get pieces with longevity, and I don't think these are going to last more than a couple years. But compared to the price of everything else in leather they are inexpensive and I'm willing to keep them to see how it goes.
