My husband is a knife snob - he loves Japanese damascus blades He also makes his own sour dough bread - I purchased an electric knife for slicing it - which did not do the job. However this Wusthof knife is a champ! Slices through bread like it is butter - also can be used for many other purposes. The handle is gorgeous - he is nearly as happy with this as he would be with a damascus blade!

I've been using a mid-level quality knife and this puts everything else in my knife block to shame. I really want the matching the chef's knife because of how amazing this knife is to use. If you chop vegetable regularly, its worth it to get this knife.
