5.0 out of 5 stars. Had this for 25 years. The bestReviewed by Paddler4life from Wisconsin on Saturday, April 6, 2024After using one in Hawaii, I got a Malibu two over 25 years ago. Mine is hot pink, is still in excellent shape and the favorite of my three kayaks, canoe, paddle board... I do not use the seats and have taken 2 grandchildren + 3 long hair dachshunds, and often paddle for 3 miles or more. It is very stable, easy to use and great for one or two paddlers. (when alone I sit in the middle seat - there are 3 seats total.) Also, can be used as a raft of sorts - easy to just float on, easy to get back on if you want to swim or play in the water. Paid over $800 a long time ago. I have canoed the Boundary Waters, am in a rowing club and row 8's, 4's and scull in doubles; this is my favorite boat.
Mine has the gaspatchi hatches that open and we have never used them since we don't fish often. -

As with most things these days with Covid it is hard to find items in stock. I was skeptical about buying a blem kayak in general, let alone from Sierra. BBB ratings were not the best, but the price was too tempting. I patiently waited for the exact color I wanted (Ahi) to be in stock. A couple weeks go by and Ahi was in stock. I pulled the trigger. The kayak arrived in about 3 weeks from purchase date. The delivery guy was super nice, waited and even helped while I opened up the kayak and examined every inch of it before accepting. I expected to find some flaw, but nothing at all anywhere. There were a few small tears into the packaging material but zero damage to the kayak itself. What a great deal for the price! If this is a typical experience when buying a blem kayak from Sierra then I would absolutely recommend.
