Company founder Rick Case actually created what would become the Nite Ize brand as an undergraduate student in 1989. After dropping his flashlight in the water on a night fishing trip, he had an idea to create a headband-mounted flashlight holder. The concept for an affordable, customizable, hands-free lighting solution soon resulted in Rick’s first order for 42,000 headbands, and a company was born. In the years since, Nite Ize accessories have grown to include a wide range of innovative products, from mini LED lights that clip to your backpack to reusable gear ties to light-up dog collars. In a nutshell, Nite Ize is all about creative, high-quality and affordable solutions to everyday problems.
