Pleasantly SurprisedReviewed by DH from Middle Georgia on Thursday, October 30, 2014Surprisingly enough, the XL actually fits my pumpkin-sized head without the need of a hat stretcher for days on end. This will do nicely when walking the dog this fall and winter yet is stylish enough for an outing. Not particularly pleased with the lining and headband or the fact that the bill is stitched in place rather than utilize a snap but for the price, it's quite functional for what it is. Actually, this is far better suited as a driving cap for the cooler months. Living in the southeast where 40 degrees qualifies as being 'cold', I've always had a hard time finding a suitable hat to wear while driving. I'm a big guy and either the crown of a hat will hit the roof of my Jeep or it's just too thick and hot to wear for extended periods. For me, baseball style caps are not an option (see sentence above referencing pumpkin-sized head). This little cap is a good size and is made from a fairly thin wool blend so while it will help bottle-in body heat, it shouldn't be so thick and cumbersome as to prevent me from wearing it while driving.
