4.0 out of 5 stars. I think it is betterVerified Buyer Reviewed by Gene from Colorado on Friday, March 25, 2016Knowing what I know now, I would have ordered one size larger so there is enough room for layers. Love the pockets. Otherwixe, not sure this is any better than my old fleece jacket bought in the early 90's. It takes me a while to adjust to new garments so we'll see.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great JacketReviewed by Jimbo K from Manhattan Beach, CA on Wednesday, March 23, 2016I bought this jacket for a recent March trip to Idaho fly fishing on various rivers (Henry's, South Fork, Fall River and Warm River.) Worked great with not so great weather - 24 degrees F with wind. I purchased the large, which I normally wear, and had room underneath for a liner and somewhat substantial wool henley. Very happy with the jacket. You can always count on Simms quality and they stand behind their products for life.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Indiana on Friday, August 14, 2015This is my 4th Simms jacket and every one of them is a 5 star in my book. This one is too gorgeous for fishing in and will be worn around town and on hikes when we get those chilly, windy days coming very soon. This jacket has it all; quality, looks, and, thanks to STP, price!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars. great valueVerified Buyer Reviewed by Rico the fishermen from Oregon on Friday, June 12, 2015Very high quality-- fits great.
Have not tried it out in cold wet rainy conditions, but think it will do fine. Simms makes great products, but they have a hard time owning up or fixing stuff on a timely basis. Company been known to take a hard stance that it is their problem -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Simms JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Robby Gould from Benzonia MI on Tuesday, March 3, 2015I usually wear a large in Simms stuff, but large in thisjacket dwarfed me, so I exchanged for med and it is tight in shoulders :(. I will just have to wear with a t shirt underneath. If it fits you, it is a real nice jacket.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Not a fisherman, but this is a fine jacket for cold weather walkingReviewed by Bill K from Delaware on Monday, January 19, 2015I wanted a Gore Windstopper fleece jacket for walks in cold windy weather but after searching through the usual outdoor performance brands I hadn't found quite what I was looking for at a reasonable price. This jacket seems truly windproof and it breathes enough that I don't get clammy when walking at a brisk pace. It doesn't have pit zips, and at this price I would not expect them; for running or lengthy uphill walking it would probably retain too much heat. I'm about 6', 165 lbs and the medium fits fine over a Wickers midweight mock zip base layer. More layers would probably be too snug for me. Very pleased with this product from Simms, a brand I'd never heard of previously as I don't fish.
