5.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable and warmReviewed by pillroller from Riverside, CT on Thursday, February 6, 2014This is a very comfortable, warm and practical jacket. Just went through two snow storms and below freezing temps and it kept me warm. The fit is perfect for my chest size [38] and I like the leather trim. Not too much, but just right.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Jacket!Reviewed by Anonymous from New Hampshire on Tuesday, January 21, 2014I really like this jacket and have been wearing it every day since it arrived. It's practical, stylish, light in weight, but warm. Last night when we walked the dogs, it was 16° F. All I had on was a t-shirt, a medium weight fleece, and this jacket, and I was plenty warm. I was impressed. I like the shearling collar more than I thought I would, too. Maybe it's just psychological, but when I pull the collar up around my neck, I feel cozy and warm. I haven't worn it in wet weather yet, so I don't know how well the "water-resistant" claim will hold up. The fabric does have the feel of waxed cotton, though more pliable and soft. I compared this jacket to the very similarly styled Outback Trading Bush Pilot Jacket and liked this one a lot better. At the time I bought it, the price for both was nearly the same (approx. $75), but the Rainforest is a classier product, and fit better. It's got two slash front pockets and two interior chest pockets, but I do wish it had a couple more hide-away places for things like sunglasses and a cell phone. But that's just me--I can never have enough pockets.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Rainforest Garment- Washed Bomber Jacket, nice looking jacket - but no sleeve adjustment..Reviewed by 1cleverchef from SC on Sunday, May 19, 2013I like this jacket, I probably will not use the shearling collar. I'm 5/9 160 lbs (med. build) and size med. fits perfect. (except the sleeves) My only complaint is the sleeve cuffs are to wide and their are no snaps to adjust them. ( The sleeves are a tad long on me so they drape down to my knuckles, you can see by the picture how this can happen) The down insulation is fairly light, the jacket is not big & bulky, and it's water resistant. Nice looking jacket with leather strip detailing, I'm hoping the light down insulation will be enough for SC winters, (usually 30-40 degree's in the winter months). It rarely gets much colder for very long. 4 decent sized secured pockets, 2 in (chest) - 2 out (hand), (I don't need like 6 pockets on my jackets). Great discounted price at the time, (I usually buy winter stuff in the spring). I just wish they had tapered the sleeves, added snaps or elasticized them like the waist. I cant comment on water resistance yet, wont know until the fall, (from the look and feel of the fabric I believe it will repel water). In a down pour I would probably wear my Goretex gear, but who knows maybe this jacket will surprise me. I'll dock it a star because of the wide non adjustable sleeves/cuffs. They could be a bit drafty, perhaps my tailor can do something with this issue. Or I may just let it go, we'll see in the future. Overall nice jacket, good weight for my area at a great discount. All of the pro's outweighed the one con so this jacket was keeper for me...
