Unique design, but also uselessReviewed by Paul Jack from new mexico on Wednesday, May 28, 2014The black parts of the sole, behind the heel and under the big toe and its metatarsal, are stiffer than the colored parts, which made the shoe uncomfortable to walk in. When landing on the heel, the stiffer material twists, abrading the heel and pushing the foot forward. The shoe was more comfortable for running, where you're not landing so squarely on the heel. However, the sole is WAY too soft for trail running.
I can't imagine what these shoes are designed for, other than separating you from your money.

They do run small. I wear a size 7.5 and ordered 8.5, they fit perfect. Not for hiking in the wild since they don't have real hiking shoe support, but great for pounding city pavement all day.

OK for casual hiking but not much protection for the top of feet. Be careful as these run about a full size too short and are nearly a B width.
