It is much more rugged than it appears. It does an excellent job of going from simmer to high.Flame is dispersed so it does not burn one spot. I like that the burners are completely seperate so if one happened to go bad. The only knocks I have against it is I would prefer not having the disposable canister fuel source and its too bulky for backpacking.
I have taken on a couple of canoe trips and numerous car trips. It is nice to have two burners to work with.
