5.0 out of 5 stars. Great JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Oldschooler from Cailfornia on Saturday, May 31, 2014I am very impressed with the quality of this jacket, especially for the price at STP. I have purchased Barbour jackets in the past that are of no greater quality and much more expensive. The fit was great too. I have shorter arms than some and the cuff design allows me to wear this jacket without modification. I feel like I got more than I paid for.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Super Outdoor Working JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Hoosier from Indiana on Monday, April 7, 2014Over the years I've found McAlister outdoor gear to be first rate and this waxed jacket follows in that tradition. I did not buy it as a hunting coat but as a rain shedding work and goofing around coat. Because of the wax, don't expect to be a really warm jacket on its own. Layer underneath and you will be fine. And, if you are involved in some really vigorous work, take it off or it will build up moisture, just like any waxed jacket. The knitted wrist closures take a little effort to get your hands through, but this is a minor detail. I would buy it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Outstanding quality!Reviewed by Rick NH from New Hampshire on Thursday, March 27, 2014Excellent waxed cotton. Feature full field jacket cut with the extra room for a liner. The McAlister quilted jacket zips right in for cold weather protection. Great combo! A steal after STP discounts.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Impressive qualityReviewed by kidsski from Washington state on Sunday, March 9, 2014I bought this as a work jacket as I like waxed cotton for dirt work and cooler weather. However this jacket seems a little too nice for that.

4.0 out of 5 stars. WAXED CANVAS JACKETReviewed by Cameron from Tennessee on Wednesday, February 26, 2014This is great jacket that should last many, many years. Although i found the sizes run big, it is a complete steal for the price. It is very comfortable and should only get better in time. If you find a similar product from Filson or Barbour it is going to cost you between $250 and $350 for a 10oz Waxed Canvas jacket.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Might Have More PocketsReviewed by Yooper from Bloomington, MN on Tuesday, February 25, 2014Well-made coat. It is lined in the body, but not in the sleeves. The storm cuffs are a bit loose for my skinny wrists. The up-down collar is a great idea. The game bag could be heavier. And an added front-entry feature would make accessibility easier so that the coat need not be removed when stowing game; but it will do. The water-repellant waxed cotton is not stiff but an ideal weight (somewhere between Filson's tin cloth and shelter cloth). I look forward to wearing it hunting next Fall. After that time, if possible, I will give a more educated evaluation.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice but very BIG.Reviewed by Sam Snead from syracuse on Friday, February 21, 2014The McAlister products I recently bought are well made, durable, and a quality product. However, they are very big. I am 6'4", 225, who wears a 46-48 inch coat. I knowingly ordered the XXL for a little extra room to cover a fleece top. However, when I tried on the coat, it was very baggy. I reordered the XL size, and it fit appropriately with enough room to accommodate the fleece.

4.0 out of 5 stars. McAlister Field CoatReviewed by MFloyd from Arkansas on Monday, February 17, 2014Great jackett , if you like the old style hunting coats. It looks good for casual wear also.
