4.0 out of 5 stars. Great jacket......runs smallReviewed by Christine from SC on Wednesday, November 4, 2015I generally wear a large.....so ordered this jacket in that size. The jacket is well made, lightweight, perfect for its intended use of backpacking plus I really liked the 'gator' color and the price with a coupon was a bargain. Unfortunately, it was too tight for me.....when I looked up the sizing on Marmot's website......large is considered a size 10 unlike most other brands that consider large, size 12-14. Fortunately, it fit my mom, size 8, perfectly and she really liked the jacket so I don't have to return it. Of course no larger sizes available and I'll always be jealous when I see her wear it.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Love at first wear.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Boston, MA on Friday, October 23, 2015I ordered this coat because I've been wanting a down jacket and because I've had great experiences with Marmot coats. Despite the great deal on STP, I was conflicted about spending >100 on a jacket. That is until I wore the jacket. It's incredibly lightweight and keeps me super warm (I am someone who is usually cold). It also has the usual nice touches of Marmot coats (drawstring along the bottom, small chest pocket, nice color combinations, etc.). After one day in the coat I knew I was hooked.

4.0 out of 5 stars. very googVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from changzhou on Saturday, October 17, 2015Because in China, I just got this jacket. Quality is very light, soft, fluffy, can withstand the general cold. The size is accurate, but the sleeves are too long.

2.0 out of 5 stars. It is TOO short.Reviewed by Anonymous from New York on Saturday, October 10, 2015I'am 5 foot 3, 122 pounds and I ordered size small. The shoulders, and chest area is great, fits well, however the length is extremely short. Basically, it will NOT cover your butt.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Pefect fitVerified Buyer Reviewed by Tractor Man from South Carolina on Tuesday, September 29, 2015Always unsure how a jacket will fit but this one is true to size. I generally wear a size 4 and the small was comfortable and would accommodate a light sweater. It is very light weight as described and color appears as shown . Perhaps the best comment came from my husband who said it was "flattering" and he is not one to comment often on clothing. Living in the South, the winters are not as cold but the humidity can make some bone chilling days. In hopes this jacket will keep me warm on those days. A great buy for a quality product.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Fit specificsReviewed by STPReview from Colorado on Monday, August 17, 2015I just received this jacket and since it's August I can't give a complete review but I wanted to give my review of the fit. When I was looking to buy it, I read reviews that it was only for petites or that it had strange fit that was too tight at the hips. That's not my experience. I'm 5'5", 140lbs and am between curvy/athletic build. I bought the medium which is what I usually wear. I have hips for sure, and the jacket fits fine around the hips. I even pulled on some of my heavy winter pants and it's fine. There is a hip drawstring adjustment and I wonder if maybe others didn't notice and it was pulled tight? I put on my Calvin Klein/Costco down coat for comparison and the Marmot is cut closer in the hips and is shorter, but when I put it under my soft shell ski shell, it was perfect. I wouldn't want it longer. The part that made it fit a bit funny for me is the shoulders and upper arms. I think it's the angel-wing movement, but I do get a bit of a line backer look when on it's own.
Obviously very high quality jacket, simple and amazingly light. I bought the Gator and love the color. I'm thinking that this jacket is going to be great piece of gear, that I can layer under my shell or wear on it's own. It's not a fashion cut, but if you live in an outdoorsy town, it's fashionable enough for town too. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Best jacket I have ever ownedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Momof4great kids from NE Ohio on Wednesday, February 4, 2015The warmth to weight ratio for this jacket is off the charts. I wear it for active outdoor pursuits, which is it's intended use, in very cold weather, nearing 0F, and this lightweight wonder jacket keeps me warm with only a 150 weight merino base layer and merino sports bra underneath. I have had to unzip it when I get moving on my skis or snowshoes so I don't overheat. I've worn in it heavy, wet snow and it seems to resist water quite well, and dries quickly. When I sit down to take a break during a ski session, I am still warm and snuggly inside this marvelous jacket. I am currently sporting some extra winter weight and am a solid size 16 and the XL fits beautifully across the hips. There is a cinch on the bottom so that when I lose the winter weight, I can tighten it up. I will carry this with me when I backpack on the Appalachian Trail in late April. It's light enough to carry and even if I don't need it, it will make a great pillow at night. I've found some incredible bargains on STP, and this one is on the top of the list. Thanks STP.
