  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Nice looking jacket, but the design is flawed

It looks good, but the issue here is that the material is to thick, and the fabric bunches under the arms making wearing this jacket uncomfortable.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. A very warm Cardigan

A close tighter fit mid layer cardigan
    Keeps me surprisingly warm
Fit tight over a tee shirt or base layer
Very stretchy so it is comfortable
I purchased a medium, but if you do not want it tight then take a size larger

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Quality garment, fit a bit off
Reviewed by Anonymous from NYC on Friday, February 7, 2014
This is a good quality garment from Marmot. However the fit is a bit off vs. other Marmot products that I have purchased. I wear a 37"/38" length in dress shirts and the sleeves on the XXL (which is my size) Power Stretch are 2" long. In fact they are long enough for me to bring to the tailor and have him make thumb cuffs (which this type of garment should probably have anyway.) Also the shoulder/armpits area are a little tighter (and binding) than they probably should be even considering that this is a "stretch" garment. Lastly Marmot should consider their ubiquitous one pull draw cord for the waist on this as it is almost flared a bit at the bottom and despite the stretch prone to letting in outside (cold) air. Otherwise the quality and finish of the jacket is nice.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
