  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Smart jacket

I wanted a jacket that packed small, was just a light covering for Florida evenings and had style. This jacket fit those desires. There is no lining so don't expect any real warmth.

Light weight and soft fabric. Especially like having a hood. I usually wear size 10 or medium, but I purchased a large to allow for layering.

I am a 5'11", 170lb woman who struggles to find clothes with long enough sleeves and torsos. This fits really well!! My partner wonders if the torso is slightly too small, but it doesn't bother me (and I'm pretty sensitive to shortness and prefer having too long than a little short). The arms are plenty long, which I absolutely L-O-V-E, and the torso really isn't too bad at all. The slimness of the fit is great, since I'm not overweight - typically women's clothing just gets wider from size L to size XL. The material is very thin, but also very warm and extremely stretchy - not restrictive at all! I got the green, and really love the colors. Super pleased with this purchase!!!

Or, could be that it runs small. Had to return.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
