Lowe Alpine quality is fantastic-the interior is so warm and the exterior looks like a warm wool sweater-STP price can't be beat! I normally wear petites-so this is a bit long on me-but the fit is flattering and not boxy. Because they are made in Europe-the zipper is on the opposite side of what we are accustomed to-just as an FYI. I normally wear a US 10-the UK 14 fits me with plenty of room to spare to layer underneath.

It also washes really well, no sign of pilling after several washes. I even like the hood - it stays on better than an ordinary hoodie! But the thumbholes, which are a feature I love and one of the reasons I bought this, really are all small. My hands are even on the small side for my overall size (I'm 5'6"), and still these thumbholes are tighter than any of my other tops. I'm glad I bought it, but when it comes time to replace it, I'll look for something else.

Dense fabric is very comfy, not stiff (up close, the exterior almost looks like a fine knit sweater; the interior is fuzzy fleece). Good roomy pockets. I wear my hair pulled back in a small bun and the hood is not very deep. I ordered UK 12 (US M) but I'm 34DD, so it was too snug across the chest. I've ordered the UK 14 to replace it.
