They were well designed, a nice shape, coated so items wouldn't slide off - and they weighed several pounds apiece. There's no way you could hang them in a closet, even empty.

I put this pole on top of the rails of my garage door where it doesn't interfere with opening and closing of the door. It provides me with extra hanging space for bulky items. The hook fits over the pole perfectly. The open side of the hanger gives easy access to the items hanging by allowing me to open the plastic covering my bedding and slide it off these hangers.

I hit the right mark and the metal twisted right off. Not to say it's a poor product as I was challenging it. Needless to say, I bought 4'more and they are great.

Also if you have more hanging space than shelf storage, great for tablecloths, blankets, duvet covers.
