After reading all of the reviews saying how big these were, I deviated and went to a small. They arrived and were too small and fit just like a small would. I returned them and ordered a medium. They fit perfectly just like I would expect. The sizing is not off. They are true to size. They will be warm and waterproof just like I wanted. They do run a little bit short, but I'm wearing them inside boots so that didn't matter.

They do run a little big. However, for alpine skiing they are too small at the ankle opening to fit over a ski boot. A cross country pant perhaps?
