It has developed holes after only a few wearings (around town). No hard use. It's been relegated to the back of the closet already. I own a lot of Filson and this is certainly not up to the usual standard.

Perfect alone for chilly offices, living rooms, and layered in cold weather. Better looking than the website photo, I am giving it 4.5 stars. Filson being made in China kept it from being 5 stars. I bought one of each color.

Guide Sweater VestReviewed by BC from SC on Thursday, November 7, 2013As noted by previous reviewers, this product is made in China and is not of the same fabric weight as the Filson sweaters of old (my waterfowl sweater seems quite a bit heavier). However, it appears to be reasonably well constructed and is perfect for wearing in an office environment. I don't believe I would choose it when a substantial layering garment is required for hunting situations or other outdoor pursuits. 4 stars for the product, 5 stars for STP's service and price.

I intended to keep the old green vest for grouse and deer hunting and fishing the yellow stone in the fall,
The new version is ok for ariund te office but will be lacking in the field. The wool and shelter cloth are both really light weight and suitable for the office on a cool morning.
The drop in quality kept me from buing a guid vest.
Ordinary retail price is still up there and not a good buy for what you get.
Filson better wake up fast.
