5.0 out of 5 stars. niceVerified Buyer Reviewed by somewhere from md on Friday, December 17, 2010I was so trilled for getting these from STP as such a bargain price. I specially love the extra height of the shoe that protect my ankles. I usually wear 6.5/7 in women's shoes. Size 5.5 is a bit short so I exchanged to size 6, which fits perfectly with a pair of thin wool socks. Now I am really looking forward for the good weather to enjoy a long/easy climb without painful feet!

4.0 out of 5 stars. very goodVerified Buyer Reviewed by brianms from Provo, UT on Tuesday, December 14, 2010These are great shoes for scrambling and light climbs. Because there is regular shoe tread on the bottoms, they aren't great for technical climbing.
- Best Uses: Light climbing, Scrambling
- Cons: Technical climbs
- Pros: Comfortable, High quality materials

2.0 out of 5 stars. Not really sure what these are for?Reviewed by RebeccaJD from Raleigh, NC on Tuesday, November 30, 2010These are not approach shoes. They are sort of very robust, high top climbing shoes with a bit of approach shoes mixed in. You could not hike in them, but due to the heavier fit I doubt they would be good for routes much above a 5.8 or 5.9. They are stiff on the bottom, and have some tread to them and a heel, unlike normal climbing shoes. I got them for a ridiculously low price, so I'll keep them, but I think all they will be good for is cold/cool-weather, multi-pitch trad routes. They have a lot of black on them so they will be way to hot in warm weather. They are leather so they would be no good if wet and cold, so I think dry cool/cold weather, or maybe mild shady routes are about the only uses - I would recommend them for cool weather, moderate climbing only and NOT for approaches or use in sunny or hot weather.
- Best Uses: Cold weather easy trad
- Cons: What is it

4.0 out of 5 stars. good for all day useVerified Buyer Reviewed by climberdude from new mexico on Wednesday, November 24, 2010I am pleased with these shoes. They are comfortable to wear long term, I plan to use them on large mountain walls in Colorado, where the routes will be about 5.7 on average.
- Cons: Loose in the toe box, Not for technical routes
- Pros: Comfortable, Nice fit
