4.0 out of 5 stars. iangraham@nc.rr.comVerified Buyer Reviewed by jq from central NC on Monday, January 26, 2015Very happy with this purchase. I've been wearing this daily for a couple of weeks. I wear a size 42 jacket and bought a large. It's a great fit for my normal wear, though it's a little snug under the arms when I have multiple layers in very cold weather. Not enough to stop me enjoying it though. Certainly not an issue in central NC. Pockets are well positioned and easy to use. Hood gives great protection in the rain. I like jackets with an internal skirt to keep the rain off my butt. However, as a shorter, lightweight jacket in only moderate winds this isn't an issue. With the breath ability of this jacket, I haven't needed to use the pit vents yet glad they're there though. Again happy with this buy and the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Columbia Peak 2 Peak shell jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Montana on Friday, January 9, 2015I really like the color combination on this jacket, and it is very visible even in fog and in the trees. There are many pockets and at handy locations. I like everything about this jacket except it does not have a detachable hood. I like tree skiing and having a loose hood hanging out is not desired.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great coat, a little bunchy in the pitsReviewed by Luke from Portland, OR on Monday, March 17, 2014This is a fine rain coat and I'm pleased with it in every way, save a bunchiness in the armpit that presses into my axillary arteries (running from armpit between bi and triceps). That said, it is only really noticeable when I first put it on. After getting busy with anything else, I don't notice any more.
The coat fits excellently. It is loose enough to layer under without getting too bunchy, yet snug enough not to be baggy without layering. The hood collapses backward perfectly, and when up extends adequately to shield the eyes and face. It is fully waterproof, and the zips are totally reliable against downpours. The pockets are comfortably located. Good fit and finish. I bought the green version, and it is amply visible. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. nice but....Reviewed by Anonymous from Texas on Tuesday, March 11, 2014Nice jacket with small drawback. The three-layers nylon omni-dry is good. But the fit is problem, uncomfortable under the oxter. struggling if can keep it.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Not for winterReviewed by Anonymous from Stamford, CT on Tuesday, January 14, 2014I ordered this as a shell for skiing. It was not as sturdy as other shells I tested. It is much more suited for rain and not winter weather. I am 5'10" 170 lbs and tried a M and this was not he tight side. I would go for a large if I wanted to keep this jacket.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Jacket Size Runs SmallReviewed by Anonymous from Northern Nevada on Friday, January 3, 2014I was very happy with the construction and apparent overall quality of this jacket, but I did not have a chance to try the waterproof and breathable features or to check its durability.
This jacket in size XL fit me very snugly, really more like I'd expect a "Large" size to fit. With a 46" chest, the Columbia sizing chart that accompanies this product on the order page indicated that I would fit comfortably toward the lower end of size XL (46" - 49"). Instead I found the jacket to be snug enough to restrict movement, let alone allow anything extra underneath.
I have several jackets in size XL that fit very comfortably and generally find XL clothing to be on the "roomy" side. If I knew that the next size larger (XXL - 4" larger in the chest) also runs small, I'd give it a try, but it would probably fit like a tent instead.
As a result, I am eating the return shipping and simply returning this jacket. It's too bad. I liked the product. -

5.0 out of 5 stars. Stay dryReviewed by 51panhead51 from Cleveland, Ohio on Monday, October 28, 2013I am a letter carrier in Cleveland, Ohio and this jacket has outperformed all other rainwear that I have purchased. I could not be more happier.
It rained all day here and I was dry.
