  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Useful

It's not quite as lightweight as you might expect it to be, but the fact that it holds it shape is great when you're biking/hiking and you don't want a backpack that feels like its dragging your shoulders down. The pockets are really useful, the outside mesh pockets do hold water bottles but it looks a little bit awkward. Overall I'm really happy I bought this, but I'm not sure I'd buy it at full retail price (I got mine on clearance)

Love this for my laptop. I have one for Geocaching when I hike. I will continue to buy this design when on sale.
  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. I really like the look of this bag, and it is very comfortable and well-balanced. However, as a book bag it has some serious design flaws.

Pros: The bag fits nicely and feels good on and it looks great. It has lots of room and the sleeve is well padded.

Cons: It is a real pain to get into this bag. The zipper is sticky and, even worse, you have to unzip it ALL the way to open it up. You can't even slip a book or notebook inside without opening it up like a clam.

Also, the pockets kinda suck. The two on the outside are fine, except that you cannot reach them with the bag on your back. So to slip anything into (or out of) a pocket, you must take the bag off your shoulders. The interior pockets are very roomy, but there are no divisions, i.e. for pens, lipbalm, kleenex, etc. I mean it's a book bag, after all, put in some penholders!!
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Mobex backpack... not what I expected
Reviewed by Nayborboy from Maryland on Wednesday, May 1, 2013
I was looking for a computer bag that would handle all I need to carry including digital camera and cords and some forms I use on a regular basis. In case anyone has questions on capacity it handles a 15" Lenovo T520 easily. It also has the capacity I need for the other items. It appears to be well made with quality materials. I'm not sure about the bracing that helps the pack hold its rigidity. In some respects it is nice cause it appears to provide additional protection. It also makes it so you have to open the main zippers completely to access anything. There is very little flex to this pack making it tough when trying to fit that one extra item. The secondary zipper pockets on top and bottom are only good for a cell phone (not an I phone) or a charger cord. If you have a laptop in one of the sleeves, the other one will barely hold a legal pad. All of it comes back to very little flex in construction and material. It is very comfortable as a pack and has waist and chest straps along with a padded frame. The external mesh pockets will hold a water bottle etc. The only other thing I can add is this, it is a noisy pack, it sounds like a leather sofa because of the materials used in construction. This is minor in my mind its not like I'm trying to sneak up on anything or anyone. I am only going in and out of airports and hotels with it. For the price it is a good bag and seems like it will be serviceable for years to come. Hope this helps
