It's truly "waterproof" and roomy enough for my 6'0" 200lb body. Pit zips are a major "plus", one of the major selling points for me. I tend to "layer up" here in Northwestern Humboldt County and being able to ventilate the shell is really handy.
The product is well made and all the zippers function correctly. The price was great @ $119.00 as well. Similar items go for three times that at a retail store here. This item replaces my ancient Sierra Designs Goretex shell. Not that I'm giving that one away anytime soon... Outerwear is important in a wet climate. I also own the matching pants for this Columbia shell.
