It's completely waterproof, very comfortable and lightweight. The hood has enough coverage to actually keep your hair dry, and a curved back hem to keep your back dry. I would buy in other colors if they were available. I have no idea what the 2nds issue is, it appears to be perfect.

I purchased it in the "wild rose" color and didn't like the shade once I saw it up close. I tried it on and although I bought a size medium (for my sister) it almost fit me and I am an XL -- so the jacket runs really big. I didn't like the way the hood fit -- it tended to stand up above my head. This could be a serviceable jacket for someone who doesn't have the style problems with it that I did. This was intended to be a gift and I just wasn't satisfied with the fit.

It is cut true to size as specified in the item description. I am quite sure that the fabric would successfully repel heavy rain with ease but unless one is specifically venturing out into a vicious downpour, the overall utility of this jacket is greatly limited by the fact that this is just a very noisy jacket. Even the slightest movement sets off the cacophony of it's crackling voice. Returned.

Hood is ample to completely cover hair without being tight around neck and sides; just flips over head and lies flat on back with nice collar when not in use. Has nice feature to tighten wrist - Velcro tab for fit with elastic remainder of band. As mentioned in other reviews, length is added advantage. Light weight, flexible fabric.
