It's getting harder and harder to find good quality merchandise anywhere, and thankfully Carhartt hasn't dropped its standards yet. This is excellent: the material, the cut, the stitching, the zipper. And Carhartt actually uses some nice colors. I got the green, which is actually a green with a little life to it, unlike all the drabbed-down shades of menswear I see in other brands, as if a dark grey was mixed into every color to deaden it. If there's something wrong with this hoodie I've yet to find it.

Very soft interior and thick fleece that I believe will hold its shape well. I wanted something that was durable and comfortable and one that would keep him warm without a lot of layering underneath, and this one absolutely fits the bill.
I have purchased other hoddie sweatshirts from some top brand names and always have been disappointed. In an age when many well-known companies are saving costs by using materials that are thinner than they were in the past, Carhartt maintains its level of quality.
As for the price, I was able to purchase this on sale through Sierra Trading post. I saved about $20 in comparison to other places I looked who sold the same hoodie. -
