I think I had the proper size as the waist and length felt fine, but I just couldn't fill in the hip area with my athletic build.

There is nothing noticeable in the way of imperfections. I bought these on sale at a great price. I use them for horseback riding and they are very comfortable. There is a little more room at the hips but I think it will shrink in future washings. I like that they aren't too stretchy and don't loose their shape.

I was looking for a pair of jeans that would be comfortable and not too "showy". These are the jeans for those of us who want to look good but not look like we're trying to show off! You will probably have to wear a belt with these are there is a tiny little bulge around the waist as was mentioned in the other reviews. This should not deter you from purchasing them, though.
