Lightweight Hunting JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Blackwater 71 from North Georgia on Thursday, November 6, 2014Yes, it's a soft shell, but there are varying thicknesses in the softshell world. It is closer to a windbreaker in weight. Fit & quality are top notch. Note that there is no ventilation which is important if you are hiking to your location. It is, almost an athletic fit so layering can be a challenge. I am 6'3"/220lbs & the XL fits but I have to go with a thin Patagonia fleece to fit under. Probably better in early season & up to mid-season here in the South. Got a great deal & as always, Sierra Trading Post is awesome!!!
