Browning Cross Country Pro Upland Hunting Jacket - Insulated (For Men)

Given the quite-reasonable pricing, I wasn't sure what to expect. However, this has proven to be an excellent shoulder-season jacket and a terrific value. I've used it on blustery, windy days and it's kept the chill at bay. It's especially nice as a shooting jacket--no surprise, since that's what it's designed to be--with plenty of room in the shoulders that allows you to mount and swing a shotgun without pulling up the rest of the jacket. It has generous pockets for game, including a particularly large back pocket that opens for cleaning. The large front pockets are fine for ammo (loops included) and roomy enough for other odds and ends as well. The colors are neutral, so if used for hunting you'll want a hunter's orange vest to wear over it. I've used it for sporting clays and skeet, too, and found it perfect for cool, windy conditions in which I wanted more than just a shell. It's relatively thin--not much insulation--but surprisingly warm. On the whole, I'm delighted at this purchase and find myself grabbing this particular jacket more often than not in recent outings. Just the right amount of insulation for Northwest fall and winter weather.
