It's a bit cumbersome to get the shoe on but I can see where this is a big plus if you are using in the water. I wear orthotics and am not able to insert these on top of the insole but am ok with this because the design and mechanics align with the shoe's specific purpose.

It is very hard for me to find a pair of sports friendly shoes for warm weather wear. They fit like a cross trainer, but have all that wonderful netting material that is great for water wear. The heel is GREAT if you have a narrow heel --- it is made from elastic fiber, and is connected to the front lace, so it can be adjusted.
Love em! I wear a AAA in women's, so you get my drift if you are a person with narrow feet.
