I don't usually wear such stiff shoes, so they were really different for me. I wanted them for hiking in rocky terrain, so I guess they'll be good for that. After my second hike I felt better about these shoes, but they need some serious breaking-in.

I got them in my normal size and they are a fairly roomy fit. I can fit my orthotics in them and still feel the need to wear a thicker, hiking, sock.
